DocPointin ohjelmistoon on useasti toivottu kotimaisia klassikkodokumentteja. Festivaali täyttää 10 vuotta vuonna 2011. Merkkivuoden kunniaksi DocPoint haluaa juhlistaa kotimaista dokumenttielokuvaa esittämällä joitain viime vuosikymmenten vaikuttavimpia ja mieleen painuneimpia kotimaisia elokuvia.
Festivaalilla 2011 nähtävä "10 kotimaista klassikkoa" -esityssarja tarjoaa festivaalikävijöille mahdollisuuden nähdä valkokankaalta suomalaisen dokumenttielokuvan helmiä. Esityssarjassa nähdään elokuvia sekä DocPointin 10-vuotisen historian varrelta että myös vanhemman kotimaisen tuotannon tähtihetkiä.
Nyt myös DocPointin yleisöllä on mahdollisuus vaikuttaa esityssarjassa esitettäviin elokuviin! Omaa suosikkia voi ehdottaa festivaalille DocPointin kotisivuilla ja osallistua samalla aitiopakettien arvontaan. Yleisön suosikeista 2-3 eniten ääniä saanutta elokuvaa valitaan esityssarjaan.

EURODOC is a training programme specifically designed for co-producing
creative documentaries at the international level. Producing documentaries
requires increasingly more funding which is difficult to find at national
level whatever the size of the country. Constant training remains vital.
Today EURODOC is a strong & influent network, which gathers more than 565
professionals from 46 countries. It has become indispensable in enabling its
members to cope with the rapid changes in the documentary sector.
Every year, 30 independent producers as well as representatives in charge of
supporting the documentary production from Europe and abroad* have the
opportunity to participate in a training cycle of 3 one-week sessions led by
experienced tutors and experts who play an important part in the current
audiovisual and documentary field.
In 2011, these 3 one-weeks sessions will be :
SESSION 1 Development / march 2011 Hungary
SESSION 2 Budgetisation, Financing, & Packaging / june 2011 Croatia
SESSION 3 Meeting the Commissioning Editors / september 2011 France

Since 2009, EURODOC International is set to welcome non-European
professionals to the EURODOC workshops, thanks to the support of the
preparatory action MEDIA International.
